Aussie openers Aaron Finch and Marcus Harris resumed batting on Day 3 in pursuit of India's 443/7d. Aussies were 8/0 overnight.
Aaron Finch was the first batsman to depart on Day 2 as he was caught by Mayank Agarwal at short midwicket off an Ishant Sharma delivery.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli rejoiced when Jasprit Bumrah picked the wicket of Marcus Harris. Harris pulled a short delivery from Bumrah straight down the throat of Ishant Sharma standing at fine-leg.
India ended the first session on a high when Bumrah trapped Shaun Marsh in front of the wickets on the last ball before Lunch. Marsh was dismissed on a personal score of 19. Aussies went into the Lunch interval at 89/4. Early in the Post-Lunch session Bumrah castled Travis Head as Aussies were reeling at 92/5. (Image: AP)
Jasprit Bumrah then wreaked havoc as he wrapped up the final three wickets within the span of 8 deliveries. He first got Paine caught behind in the 65th over and then returned to send Lyon and Hazlewood back for ducks. Bumrah finished with career-best figures of 6/33. He also became the first Asian bowler to pick up five-wicket hauls in South Africa, England and Australia in a calendar year. Australia were bowled out on 151 thus handing India a commanding led of 292 runs.
